Disney recently increased the prices of annual passes and parking, but along with those price increases they implemented the new date based ticket system. This means you have to choose the dates you want to use the tickets, rather than buying an open ticket and using it whenever you want. This allows Disney to see ahead of time what days people will be using tickets, and of course adjust prices accordingly. The majority of us Brits take advantage of the awesome open and unlimited Ultimate ticket so these changes don't affect many of us.

This ticket change (which took place October 16th) actually created a possible opening window for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Hollywood Studios. This is because after playing with the dates and prices, it seems you can only purchase tickets up to December 16th 2019. Disney announced a couple months ago that the new land will open "late fall", and while "fall" technically ends on 21st December, that means Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge could open between December 17th and December 21st. Disney have yet to confirm a date, and we'll be sure to share when that news is announced.
